I highly recommend this excursion. In one day, we got a great overview of the island of Trinidad and visited places that aren't necessarily well known to tourists. Dominic is a very friendly guide who is keen to show us the highlights of his island. The organization is perfect, with pick-up and drop-off at the hotel.

Dominic was an awesome and fun guide! He was very knowledgeable about the animals and the location, and his humor made the experience even more enjoyable. He also took some of the best pictures during the tour, which was such a great bonus. Overall, the tour was engaging, memorable, and a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend Dominic to anyone looking for a fantastic guide!

High value experience at Trini
If there is something as a first-time visitor, I shouldn't have missed to do in Trini, it had to be the Avocat waterfalls!. This experience superseded my expectations, one the way Guide Dominic led the experience and above all, what nature offers here is very unique: the forest, the crystal clear water, the light and above all, I had also led myself into experiencing something new, ie, barefoot hiking throughout and I did not regret it. It was simply amazing. the water falling down was forceful and marvellous, superb cool waters took me to a spiritual experience as well! Highly recommended experience!

This experience was so wonderful. Dominick is very knowledgeable and helpful. I've been coming to Trinidad for years and still learned a lot from him about the neighborhoods along the way, plants, and of course the waterfall. He communicated information clearly, even before the pick up. We never felt rushed at any point in the tour and he encouraged us to relax and truly take in all of the waterfall experience. Dominick had a very calm demeanor and was easy going. The trail to the waterfall was easy, even with a few sprinkles of rain. Definitely doable for all ages and hiking experience. We were the only people on the trail going and returning, which made it feel like the trail was just for us for a moment in time. Surprisingly, the water was not cold! Dominick encouraged us to keep walking through more and more water along the trail to help acclimate to the water temperature and it definitely worked! We were able to enjoy the massages from the waterfall, capture great pics and video, and feel like a piece of the waterfall was in our hearts and memories forever (without shivering through it). Be sure to bring good water shoes or sneakers, some of the rocks can be slippery and rough. We did not see animals in the water - like fish, frogs or other water animals, which was comforting for me as there was an opportunity to swim a bit along the way. The treats that we purchased at a look out point came in handy on the ride back to Maracas beach and of course the bake and shark was delicious! Although we read through reviews beforehand and were excited, the experience was still better than we thought it would be. An experience to always remember. We look forward to taking more tours with Dominick on our future visits to Trinidad.
